Comment is corrected

I have corrected the evaluation from 1 to 3 as the company handled the complaint. I cannot give more as this angry post was needed so that they would react.

Horrible experience

Text links do not work. Chat messages do not work. No contact number for help listed on website. Dr appointment was directed to a nurse practitioner.

Krankenkasse needs to change

Visana support not aware in my case what’s included in a cataract operation pauschal. While we have to pay huge amounts for Krankenkasse, still what covers a cataract operation is the most basic and cheapest option ( manual operation instead of laser and monofocal lens) for Visana. We than have the option use glasses for ever or pay extra for better options. At least the CEO is not the most well payed. But the money used for sponsorships could be better used to serve better their clients with up to date solutions for our needs.

RIDICOLOUS SERVICE

This is basically a scam. Non-existent support, but they will pester you to want to sign you up. Afterwards consider them gone: the app is full of bugs, even if you pay for complimentary services the bill will be crazy (so they stated a different offer when I signed…) I changed city and saw a +200CHF increase with NO explanation whatsoever. Now I am trapped and cannot change ANYTHING about my options for the next 5 months?? STAY AWAY.

Dismal customer experience with Visana!

The company’s customer service is dismal, their unwillingness to speak English and follow up with customer concerns is hugely disappointing, they did not hesitate to send me “notifications” 6-12 months later, but pre-dated in their online system (surely that must be illegal!), and now they simply jacked up their prices for 2023 and expect their clients to simply play along! A dismal showing, I will follow-up shortly, with an updated, more in-depth review of my experience with them. Oh, and 1 more thing: today I was told to not “threaten them” with writing such a review! Updated: a whole month has passed, and my complaint is still unaddressed. Their last email was 2 weeks ago, still no replies to my queries. This company is either inept, or they simply don’t care!

Very far from the health customers.

They are always very kind when it comes to offering you a product, but now they are inflexible in exceptional situations. Insurance very far from the health problems of customers.

Visana’s marketing department can work…

Visana’s marketing department can work hard to send baby socks and a customized baby towel for our baby insurance, but just one bad contact and disrespect from the local Visana agency in Geneva easily ruins everything. We are no longer clients of a company which lacks humanity and respect in the relationships and communications with its customers.

Below are the analyze and conclusion of us about above reviews

The reviews for Visana paint a largely negative picture. Let’s break down each one:

**Review 1 (Tam):** This review is extremely negative and concise. The user “Tam” gives a 1-star rating and claims the company is rude, doesn’t pay for essential treatments, and has a poor app. While brief, the specific complaints suggest a genuine negative experience. The all-caps and exclamation points indicate strong emotion.

**Review 2 (Alexandra Mnoukhina):** This review is interesting as it shows a shift in opinion. The user initially posted a negative review (presumably 1-star) that prompted a response from the company. They’ve updated their rating to 3 stars because the company addressed their complaint. However, they also state they cannot give a higher rating since the negative post was needed for a reaction. This suggests that while the company responded, their initial service was lacking.

**Review 3 (C Lo):** This review details specific issues with the company’s communication channels and service delivery. The user reports broken text links and chat functionality, lack of a readily available contact number, and an appointment being directed to a nurse practitioner instead of a doctor. These are concrete complaints pointing to potential technical or operational problems.

**Review 4 (Not happy):** This review focuses on the user’s disappointment with the coverage provided for a cataract operation, despite high insurance premiums. They criticize the lack of awareness among Visana support staff regarding included benefits and the limited options offered without additional costs. The user suggests the company prioritizes sponsorships over client needs. This review points to issues of transparency and value for money.

**Review 5 (Mbottonj):** This review levels serious accusations, calling the service “basically a scam.” The user claims non-existent support after signup, a buggy app, billing discrepancies, and unexpected price increases without explanation. They also express being “trapped” with their current plan. This review suggests deceptive practices and poor customer service.

**Review 6 (Nikos Panagos):** This is a detailed and critical review describing “dismal” customer service, communication barriers (language), a lack of follow-up, and unexpected price increases. The user also alleges potentially illegal practices with pre-dated notifications. The update indicates that the complaint remains unresolved after a month, reinforcing the negative impression. The fact that the company allegedly told the user not to “threaten them” with a review is also a significant red flag.

**Review 7 (F.):** This review is succinct but critical, citing poor service and communication difficulties (language barrier) leading to long wait times.

**Review 8 (JOSE):** This review contrasts the company’s helpfulness during the sales process with their inflexibility in addressing customer’s health problems. This hints at a potential focus on acquiring new customers over providing adequate support to existing ones.

**Review 9 (Andreas):** This review is short and direct, warning potential customers to avoid the insurance company and distrust their salespeople due to unfulfilled expectations.

**Review 10 (Q.):** This review highlights the contrast between the company’s marketing efforts (sending baby gifts) and the negative experience with the local agency, resulting in the loss of the customer. This illustrates a potential disconnect between marketing and customer service, leading to dissatisfaction.

**Review 11 (Jasi):** This review is brief but indicates a negative experience that led to the termination of the contract. The mention of issues with “upper-level employees” suggests potentially systemic problems within the company.

Visana likely legit but has serious service issues
