Avoid at all costs!
I was looking to get a e-visa to India & came across this website. I almost fell for it as they didn’t request me to attach any documents & it just went to payments page. I got suspicious when it mentioned that the charge for the visa was $109 USD. Upon searching again, I found the link to the official government website. The official website requires you to attach a photo as well as PDF of your passport & the cost is like $25 USD for a 30-day visa. I am glad that I got out at the final moment!

BAD, BAD, BAD. TOTAL SCAM, AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Bad, scam site.
My wife and I had trouble completing the ‘official’ wesbite evisa on indianvisaonline.gov.in, basically we got so far with the application then it just stopped working, so we got in touch with the help team from the official evisa ssite, they took 4 DAYS to get back to us and then told us to use indiaonlinevisa.org. THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE, THEY JUST CHARGE YOU AN EXTRA $100 THEN YOU HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER $100 FOR THE VISA.
AND THIS IS TH E’OFFICIAL’ HELPLINE FROM THE INDIAN GOVERNMENTS OWN WEBSITE!!!!!
Below are the analyze and conclusion of us about above reviews
Review 1 (Raj): This review raises significant red flags. Raj describes a suspiciously simple application process that skips document uploads, a standard requirement for visa applications. The price discrepancy ($109 USD vs. $25 USD) is a major concern. The reviewer’s comparison with the “official government website” and the discovery of mandatory document uploads on the official site strongly suggests that the website in question is likely a scam preying on individuals seeking Indian e-visas. The user’s claim of almost falling for it underscores the deceptive nature of the site. This review highlights the importance of verifying the authenticity of visa application websites and directly comparing requirements and costs with official government sources.
Review 2 (Doug): Doug’s experience further reinforces the scam concerns. The reviewer encountered problems with the *actual* official Indian e-visa website (indianvisaonline.gov.in), which is understandable given governmental websites are often unreliable. However, the alleged recommendation from the “official” help team to use indiaonlinevisa.org is highly suspicious and points towards potential collusion or misinformation. Doug clearly states that indiaonlinevisa.org is *not* the official website and charges significantly more (an extra $100) on top of the actual visa fee. This double-charging is a common tactic used by visa scam websites. The reviewer’s frustration and strong language (“BAD, BAD, BAD. TOTAL SCAM”) indicate a genuine negative experience and a clear warning to others.
indiaonlinevisa.org likely scam
