Worst customer service I have seen in…
Worst customer service I have seen in years. Phone number provided isn’t answered at all. And no response to our emails. Daylight robbery it is. How is this even legal?

Cannot retrieve evisa status
By mistake I sent a copy of an old passport. They came back to me and requested a correction. I sent a copy of my new passort. I payed the 62 USD, got a receipt. After that every time I check my status, it sits on “Replied”. I emailed the embassy, they replied that there is plenty of time until my departure. That was sceduled three days ago. For another reason I had to skip my stay in Ethiopia and changed my ticket. But the bottom line is that I still haven’t my visa three days after I should have arrived. It could maybe be a matter of using Edge instead of Chrome browser, but at their site for checking my visa status the site does not recognize my Applicaation ID …. (the site looks different on Edge where it replies that either Application ID or passport number is wrong…. So much for those 62 USD.

Bad experience
I reached out to them multiple times via email, and they responded requesting that I provide my reference number and passport number. The strange part was that this information was already included in the subject line of the email, as well as in all of the emails I had sent. I tried to remain calm and send the information again, but I have not received a response. It has been 10 days now with no update on the status of my visa application.

We have emailed support after waiting…
We have emailed support after waiting for over a week, after all their website says to contact then after 3 business days, when you call, a rude and obnoxious sounding person answers and drops call before you are done. It is disgusting, why take my money and promise a service you can’t offer, all I’ve been told is to wait for the email, I can’t trace my visa to know the current status if it’s under review or whatever ,I missed an important appiontment due to this incompetence.

Ethiopian embassy is incompetent and unprofessional
My husband applied for an evisa to Ethiopia. Despite their claim on their website that nationals of all African Union member states are eligible for visa on arrival, he decided to get an electronic visa from their website either way. The visa is suppose to take 3 days. Its been 3 weeks, they have still not issued or denied the visa, they only took our money. Its been 3 weeks of calls and emails to their embassy, they don’t answer any. He went to the physical office of the Ethiopian embassy in Saudi Arabia and a man working there cursed at him and told him to leave without hearing him out. We had been planning this trip for months. This embassy is unprofessional, incompetent and fraudulent. Since they won’t issue or deny the visa they should give us our money back. We have lost flight ticket money and our time wasted because of them. Its completely unacceptable.
Below are the analyze and conclusion of us about above reviews
Review 1: Adam Volcano
This review expresses extreme dissatisfaction with the customer service provided. The user claims that the phone number provided is not answered and that emails are ignored, leading them to believe the service is a “daylight robbery.” The strong language (“worst,” “daylight robbery”) suggests a highly negative experience. The user questions the legality of the service, indicating a strong sense of being scammed. The lack of responsiveness is a significant red flag.
Review 2: ruben bernhard
This review details a specific issue with the e-visa application process. The user submitted an old passport copy and, after correcting it and paying the fee, encountered issues with the visa status not updating. The user mentions contacting the embassy, which acknowledged the situation, but the visa was never issued before the planned departure date. While the user acknowledges a potential browser issue, the core problem remains: the visa was not processed despite payment and communication with the embassy. The inability to track the application and the ultimate failure to receive the visa are significant concerns.
Review 3: khalid majeedy
This review highlights a communication breakdown with the visa service. The user repeatedly sent emails with the required information (reference number and passport number), but the service continued to request the same information. Despite resending the information, the user did not receive any response or update on their visa application for 10 days. The lack of communication and apparent disregard for the information provided raises concerns about the service’s efficiency and reliability.
Review 4: B.F Goins
This review complains about poor customer service and the inability to track the visa application status. The user reports that contacting support via email after the specified waiting period yielded no results. The phone support is described as rude and unhelpful. The user expresses frustration at paying for a service that was not delivered as promised and missing an important appointment due to the delay. The inability to trace the visa application and the overall lack of support contribute to a negative assessment of the service.
Review 5: Anonymous
This review details a particularly troubling experience with the Ethiopian embassy. The user’s husband applied for an e-visa, despite being eligible for visa on arrival, but the visa was neither issued nor denied after three weeks. The user reports multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact the embassy via phone and email. A visit to the physical embassy resulted in disrespectful treatment. The user feels they have lost money on flight tickets and wasted time due to the embassy’s incompetence and lack of communication. The combination of long delays, lack of response, and unprofessional behavior paints a very negative picture of the service.
