Always ends with “Please try again in one hour.” Again and Again and Again.
Just go to reddit and look up the VFS Global issues.
You will see huge numbers of people with the same problems.
VFS Global is as bad as it gets just like this:

Been to Manchester vfs office yesterday and served by a guy called Paul. He was very nice and helpful. Will never ever forget his favour. I was late even forgot to print out couple of documents but he helped me all the way. Fantastic guy.
Unfortunately used their printer after waiting 45 minutes and they charged me 18£ for 3 black n white paper. Very disappointed for that
