They don’t keep you updated and they will drop the ball regardless of using their top tier service

I paid for the most expensive service they have, which costs at least $800. They tell you they keep you updated each step of the way but they don’t. After the system told me it had been delivered to the State Department on Tuesday, from then on I had to call and keep calling to check for updates and was sent to the State Department web site to track. Fine. Rushmypassport’s system has zero updates at all since the application was delivered: not the acceptance, not the approval, not the shipment. I would have thought they were tracking on their end; apparently not. I was told on Friday, when I called, that the passport would ship with overnight delivery as soon as the passport was printed, i.e., rushmypassport would pick it up and ship it for overnight delivery. I was excited when I saw on May 23, at 11:46pm, which means that it occurred earlier in the day during business hours, that the State Department had printed and shipped. However it did NOT arrive on Saturday as I had been assured when I called Rushmypassport on Friday morning before notification of printing/shipping. They did NOT keep up with the State Department to pick up the passport and ship it overnight and they did NOT update me on whether or not, at the time, that they had it and had a shipping number. Because they had not kept up with it. I missed my flight Sunday and I can’t reschedule my flights or room except to take into account the worst case scenario, because I have NO IDEA what is going on, which is that the passport will be shipped by USPS Express, 1-3 day service, which means arrival likely on THURSDAY May 29. Is rushmypassport going to pick it up Tuesday for overnight shipment?! I HAVE to reschedule my $4000 hotel stay to start Friday, even if the passport actually does ship Tuesday, which I can’t count on, because these guys don’t have anyone to assist on weekends and they didn’t ship the passport for overnight arrival nor inform me of anything, and this seems the worst case scenario for rescheduling (God forbid if it isn’t). In fact, it will have sat at the Department of State from Friday morning until Tuesday because the USPS tracking number from the State Department does NOT work (and I was surprised to see anyway given the service I paid rushmypassport for), which means USPS hasn’t picked it up and scanned it. Obviously neither did rushmypassport. That would have been moot had rushmypassport sent the passport as I had PAID FOR on Friday—there was plenty of time. They dropped the ball and didn’t update me at all. I sat here all of Saturday wondering if it was picked up and would be delivered anyway—that they just hadn’t updated their systems or me. Nope. Nothing. I am furious. This was not the end to end service they advertise with updates “each step of the way,” and it wasn’t on time. I understood the uncertainty about what the State Department does and when, but that passport was printed and ready Friday morning and rushmypassport either didn’t know because they don’t actively obtain updates, or they just didn’t care. They already got my money after all.

Not having to make a trip to Boston and dealing with questions I did not have to answers to. Trust me the actual acquisition of the passport involves more questions then the initial issuance did. Glad I was home and able to get the answers.

This is a scam service

This is a scam service. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. BUYER BEWARE.

A month in and still don’t have my passport. Cost me double for no gain. The whole “order manifested” is there greatest scam. No accountability and no refunds offered even when they don’t hold up their end.

FedEx tracking delivered my updated photo on 4/30 so 5/5 shows a 4 biz day delay in their ability to open mail.

Rush My Passport

Rush My Passport? More Like Rush My Patience!

If you’re looking for a passport service that will test every ounce of your patience, look no further than Rush My Passport. Oh, and whatever you do, DO NOT work with RMP and GOOD LUCK if you get Valeria on the support line. Unless, of course, you enjoy repeating yourself three times because she apparently has the hearing of a rock and the memory of a chicken. Fun times!

Expect delays. Lots of delays. In fact, I’d recommend booking your trip for next year just to give them time to maybe get their act together. Their “solutions” are laughable at best, and their customer support? Let’s just say I’ve had more helpful conversations with my toaster.

The cherry on top? The attitude. Imagine calling for help and being met with the enthusiasm of a brick wall. It’s like they’re doing you a favor by taking your money and delivering absolutely nothing in return.

Save yourself the headache. Go literally anywhere else. Or better yet, just walk to the passport office yourself, it’ll be faster, less stressful, and you won’t have to deal with Valeria. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

Poor Customer Service | What am I paying for?

I am beginning to feel like this was a scam. I have been waiting for a response and refund for several weeks. I was able to get my daughter’s passport via the local post office in 2 weeks and it was cheaper than what Rushmypassport charges. Now that I am requesting a refund, despite their refund policy, which claims all refund requests, not under manifest, made within 30 days will be processed. However, I received an email that says they won’t honor my refund, that my reason isn’t sufficient. I still haven’t received clarification after asking several times over several weeks. Hopefully someone here can help. I’d not to have my $119 wasted.

I have made multiple attempts to cancel…get refund

I have made multiple attempts to cancel and get a refund prior to the 24 hour cancellation window. They make it EXTREMLY difficult. They have not responded to phone calls, messages, emails. Order Number: GW-DC2C7FAFD.

Emilio was very helpful

Working with Emilio was positive and efficient. Our expedited passport renewals are on their way and he made it happen quickly. Fingers crossed we get our new passports back in the mail as quickly as anticipated. So far, so good!

Terrible Program and Service

What they dont tell you is they take your money and you still have to do all the work. You can go to a local post office and get the same paperwork and get the passport in the same amount of time. Would never recommend to anyone to use and is a scam.

SCAM

Their customer service was excellent before I paid them. Once I paid them, they wouldn’t answer my multiple calls, return multiple voicemails, and they wouldn’t even let me send a message on the “chat”. I requested a refund and again they won’t take my calls and haven’t refunded me. My order number is GW-378D54C3B. ..Watch their response to this review will ask for my order number!!!

This site is totally a scam

This site is totally a scam. I used RushMyPassport thinking it was directly affiliated with USPS — it’s not. Nowhere was it clearly stated that I would still have to go to a USPS location until the very end, when you’re forced to download forms and accept payment terms.

I ended up paying extra just to fill out a basic form — something anyone can do for free through the official government site. They promote an “expedited” service, but what they actually provide is just form assistance and a schedule. The real processing is still done by the U.S. State Department, and you’re not getting your passport any faster unless you pay the actual government expedite fees.

The way they present their service makes it seem like you’re speeding up the process or skipping steps — but you’re not. It’s just a glorified form filler with hidden fees.

TOTALLY MISLEADING INFORMATION. Don’t waste your money.

Waste of money

Waste of money – not worth for new passport applications! The website does not state clearly that the rush service is for renewals only. I found out too late and ended up paying double price for doing it all myself. After I found out I have to handle all myself, I got zero help from agents and of course no refund. Don’t waste your money and patience. I would never recommend this service.

🚨 WARNING: RushMyPassport is a Scam – Avoid at All Costs
I am writing this review to warn others about my deeply frustrating and costly experience with RushMyPassport — a company that, in my opinion, operates under misleading practices and should be investigated for fraud.

I paid a very high fee for their “expedited passport delivery service”, which was supposed to take 6–9 business days. It has now been over 4 months, and I still do not have my passport.

Here’s what happened:
Every time I called, I was left waiting on hold for 30–50 minutes, only to speak with representatives who lacked clear communication and seemed trained to delay, confuse, or deflect rather than help.

I was charged twice for the service and never received a refund.

Week after week, I was told “next week it will be shipped” — a lie they repeated for months.

I believe they lost my passport, yet never took accountability or even gave me a clear status update.

I lost travel plans, money, and countless hours trying to get resolution.

To make matters worse, I am now having to travel internationally to the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá to apply for an emergency passport, all because this company failed.

They make it impossible to speak to a supervisor, ignore refund requests, and operate with a level of incompetence that borders on intentional deception. I truly don’t understand how companies like FedEx still partner with them, and I urge the U.S. Department of State to review and take action against their operation.

Bottom line:
Do not trust RushMyPassport.
They are not reliable, they are not honest, and they will leave you stranded. If you are reading this, please learn from my mistake and look for safer, official alternatives.

Well worth it!

Very much worth the extra cost to expedite my passport. The application process easy and I was informed throughout the process by text or email. Some notifications were delayed but I could easily log into my account for an update so not a problem. Very much recommended the service if you’re time constrained.
