Flawless exprerience

Even though this company had only bad reviews when I signed up, I researched via Reddit and still decided to use them. I was very skeptical but they did a fantastic job. They communicated very well and wasted no time handling my documents. I’m really impressed!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

First of all, you pretty much will never get a reply from their customer service to any emails that you send. Calling is the only thing that works.

I submitted my order for document authentication on May 31st (from CVSC, whom CIBT purchased) and requested my documents back on June 14th. Before ordering, I had emailed some questions that I was hoping they’d answer, but I didn’t hear from them until after I placed my order. I sent my documents and they were received on June 5th. I was never told that it would be difficult or impossible to get my documents returned to me on the 14th. Instead, THEY CHANGED THE DATE MY DOCUMENTS WERE REQUESTED TO THE 30TH INSTEAD! They never even mentioned they were doing this and I can only assume it was done for their own metrics, so they could say they were returned on time. If I was told they couldn’t get them back by the 14th, I would have done it myself. However, their terms and conditions says you’ll basically be charged even if you cancel. In addition, be sure to check your invoice, as I was originally charged the business price instead of for an individual and had to inquire about it before it was changed.

After receiving my documents on the 5th, they messaged again on the 9th to say the embassy had updated requirements and they needed more from me (things like middle initial on one document and middle name on another). This happened a couple more times until the 15th, already after when I requested my documents to be returned. A company specializing in these things should catch all of this so there is no delay. In each case, I sent what they asked for as soon as I could, oftentimes within 20 minutes of their email request.

Ultimately, my documents weren’t even submitted to the consulate until the 16th (according to their order tracker), and were not returned to me until the 22nd.

I even reached out to Eric Muething (whose email is always recommended to poor reviews so they can “make things right”) while my order was still going as I had concerns about the “requested return date” being changed, but heard nothing.

All of the extra documents that they requested from me were things that I could’ve done myself had I just gone to the consulate. It would’ve been faster, cheaper, and far less stressful than going through CIBT.

Apparently CVSC was purchased by CIBT, and that’s when things started to go south.

Below are the analyze and conclusion of us about above reviews

Review 1 (Ryan): This review is interesting because it acknowledges prior negative reviews, yet still reports a positive experience. The user mentions doing independent research on Reddit, which suggests a level of due diligence. The specifics about communication and document handling add credibility, despite the initial skepticism. The phrase “wasted no time handling my documents” indicates efficiency, a key aspect of visa services. This review could be genuine, representing a potentially improved or inconsistent service experience. However, the abrupt shift from acknowledging bad reviews to a “flawless experience” warrants a degree of caution, as it could be an attempt to counteract negative sentiment.

Review 2 (Justin): This review is overwhelmingly negative and details several issues, including poor customer service response times, unauthorized changes to the document return date, and multiple requests for additional documents after the initial submission. The user clearly expresses frustration about the delayed process and suggests they could have handled it more efficiently themselves. The mention of CVSC being purchased by CIBT and a subsequent decline in service quality adds a potential explanation for the negative experience. The user tried to contact the “make things right” email address but heard nothing, further indicating a lack of customer support. The level of detail in the review, including specific dates and actions, suggests a genuine negative experience. This review raises significant concerns about the reliability and efficiency of the service.

mychinavisa.com likely a mixed bag, proceed with caution
