CCUSA makes being a camp counsellor easy
CCUSA has made the process of being a camp counsellor in the US so simple!! The staff are INCREDIBLY helpful and kind particularly Dave King! CCUSA has helped me find a placement despite having to defer a year and even with an insane time difference (I was studying abroad), the staff have been accommodating and super understanding. A very supportive program for prospective camp counsellors for sure. I’m yet to get out to my camp but I have a feeling this is going to be a great experience!

CCUSA was so so helpful
CCUSA was so so helpful, and cheap! I’m off to America next week and I don’t think I could’ve done it without the help from them. Would definitely recommend choosing these to do summer camp work.

CCUSA
CCUSA made the application process for camps so easy and were always able to help at any moment whether this was for booking flights, aiding in how to approach visa appointments and what to bring.
Before finishing my application based on the meeting with staff they already looked for camps that suited my needs and came back with one immediately
The staff were friendly and always available to help anytime either via email or zoom meetings.

Ccusa made the entire process so simple…
Ccusa made the entire process so simple and easy. It all seemed so daunting at first but they were so reassuring and helpful every step of the way. Dave especially is a legend, anything I needed big or small, he always got back to me straight away and provided so much help and assistance. It impressed me so much how well he knew the specifics of my application and situation while presumably handling hundreds of other applicants too, cannot thank him enough. I’ve always wanted to do the kind of thing CCUSA offer and I’m so glad I picked them to do it.
Hali Grimstead
This is my fourth application with CCUSA, and I honestly can’t recommend them enough!
I left my application to the very last minute this year while I waited to confirm if I’d be available, but as soon as I knew I could go, I got in touch with Dave straight away. Even though I’ve been through the process before and should know how everything works by now, Dave came to my rescue and was super proactive and had everything set up for me within a day.
The whole system with CCUSA is so smooth! Everything you need is there, down to the finest detail. Every step you need to take is super clear, and they provide really helpful, detailed step-by-step guides that make the whole process feel way less stressful and gives you loads more confidence in what you’re doing.
Dave also sent over key info and reminders as soon as he could, which made things so much easier on my end. And even though I’ve done this a few times, I still had a bunch of silly questions too, but nothing was ever too much trouble.
The CCUSA team are genuinely lovely and always happy to help with anything you need, whether you’re prepping before you fly or already out in America. The support they give is amazing from start to finish.
Massive thanks again!
Michelle McCarthy

$1650 penalty charge if you get sacked
Article 17 of the CCUSA programme agreement (Hungarian version) says there is a penalty charge of $1650 if you get fired – see final part of programme agreement below but look is this this even legal ??
16) Please remember – While we have had 100% placement support staff and 99% counselor for the last 27 years, we want to warn you
that a placement at a summer camp is not guaranteed!!! We will try our best to find you a camp that matches your own skills and
interests, so that you can have a great summer. But the final decision is up to the camp director. If we cannot find you a placement by
the end of June, you will get a refund of all fees paid to CCUSA. This does NOT include any other fees paid to the American Embassy
to get your visa, or any other expenses you had during this process.
17) Please read through the Program Agreement for all details of the Refund Policy if you need to cancel from the program prior to
your departure to camp. If you are fired from camp during the summer, you could owe CCUSA up to $1,650.
18) If you have any other questions regarding any of the above information, or anything else about the program, please contact me
immediately. You can also check out our website at. Until then, take care and start preparing for the Best Summer of
Your Life!

CCUSA are the best in the business.
I can’t say anything bad about CCUSA. I have done three summers in the US using them, and plan on completing a 4th, and they make the process as smooth as possible. CCUSA and Dave King are the ones to use if you ever plan on going to the US to work a summer camp, or any of the other wonderful programs they offer.

CCUSA are good at communicators.
CCUSA are very good at communicating clearly & promptly when I’ve had questions or queries – even as a returning staff member, they still occur.
The application process & steps required are clearly laid out within my account.
I’ve used them as my cultural exchange provider for several years & have never had an issue with their service. I recommend them without hesitation.

Just arrived home after MY SECOND SUMMER
Just arrived home after a second summer with CCUSA and I cannot recommend them enough. I have had no problems, everything is so quick and easy. I even extended my time in America with a quick push of a button and they were on top of everything for me. I am so glad I found this company! Definitely one of the best out there to get you in your camp America journey

CCUSA was so incredibly helpful in…
CCUSA was so incredibly helpful in getting me sorted this summer. I was the first person from my country to ever use their services and had no Visa Embassies or CCUSA representatives where I lived so went through CCUSA UK as it was the most applicable. Even with the difficulties of trying to figure out how to do everything they needed me to do given it was all brand new to them as well, they were so helpful in getting me sorted out. Every single person I spoke to was so kind and eager to help move the process along. Special thanks to David King who I had the most conversations with – super fast responses, always went above and beyond to answer my questions.
Thank you CCUSA for helping me have one of the greatest summers of my life.

Best Summer of my Life
CCUSA helped me connect with an amazing camp which I have every intention of going to and everyone I emailed or talked to was so helpful and was never rude or anything. I’d recommend 100 times and can’t wait for summer 2025.

CCUSA were such a great company to go to a summer camp with. They gave really clear and helpful advice with things like the visa and any other query I had. Compared to some other international staff I was paid very well. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to work at a camp!!

CCUSA are a fantastic service to use if you are planning on doing a summer abroad in America / Canada/ anywhere else in the world. I was supported the whole way through, mostly by a colleague named dave!
Dave from the get go was super helpful by telling me what i needed to do. Even in all the times where I was confused or unsure, he made the time to help me and explain anything I wasn’t sure about. If I was to go away again, I’d use CCUSA any day!

My agent was horrible
Price is great, we soon found out why.
Our agent was Marielle, she was great until we paid fully, then she became horrible and started not responding to our mails. My friends had a couple of fees to pay which had no explanation at all. I was kicked out of program because Marielle made an error pronouncing my name and claimed my job offer was fake.I got back to program after I proved it was legitimate. Horrible person who really does not care about you!

First Class
Excellent customer service throughout the visa process. For the last 3 summers I’ve used CCUSA and they’ve been nothing but first class.

Jeremy Cook’s review is a stark contrast to the others, giving a 1-star rating and highlighting a concerning clause in the program agreement that could result in a $1650 penalty charge if the participant is fired from camp. The reviewer questions the legality of this clause. This review raises a significant red flag and warrants further investigation into the terms and conditions of CCUSA’s program agreements.
Kieran Hodgson’s review expresses strong positive sentiment, stating CCUSA is the “best in the business” and mentions having completed three summers through them, with plans for a fourth. This repeat usage and enthusiastic endorsement suggest a genuine positive experience.

Tony’s review is extremely negative, claiming that the assigned agent, Marielle, became unhelpful after payment and made errors that led to the reviewer being temporarily removed from the program. This negative review stands out due to the specific accusations of poor service and agent error, providing a contrasting perspective to the overwhelmingly positive reviews.
Jacob Orton’s review is short and positive, highlighting excellent customer service throughout the visa and flight processes.

CCUSA likely legit, but with a potential contractual issue
The reviews are overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the helpfulness and efficiency of CCUSA’s services, especially regarding visa processes and customer support. Many reviewers specifically mention a staff member named “Dave” as being exceptionally helpful. The repeated positive experiences and willingness to use CCUSA again by several reviewers strengthens the legitimacy of the service. However, the negative review from Jeremy Cook regarding a potential $1650 penalty charge if fired raises a serious concern about the program agreement’s terms and conditions. This issue warrants further investigation. The review from Tony shows agent problem. Overall, while CCUSA appears to provide a valuable service, potential users should carefully review the program agreement, paying close attention to cancellation and termination policies, and be aware of potential agent problems.
Note: The above statement is just my personal opinion, you should check carefully at the sources and make the right decision for yourself.
