Tamara has been so helpful during my…
Tamara has been so helpful during my relocation, and I believe she should have a 10-star rating in your 5-star system. She is not only doing her job to help her client, but also thinking about some information that her client might miss. For example, she drove around the city and patiently explained to me Vejle city, Danish culture, the food, etc. She also asked the landlord some important questions during our rental apartment visits. The most important thing is that she has given me a very positive impression of Denmark and Danish people, which is something outside of her job description. I cannot appreciate her enough for this collaboration journey!

Very helpful experience with citizenship but the housing search was mainly driven by our own efforts

Relocation Copenhagen
We relocated to Copenhagen with my partner and got guidance by Alfa Mobility to help us with help in finding an apartment, getting registered as a citizen and partly organize our pre-location visit. We were linked with our relocation agent Rok, who went out of his way to help us with the houseviewings beforehand, kindly gave us the local tour and helped us very quickly in getting our CPR-registration. Would advise everyone a bit of Rok for a safe landing in Denmark 😉

Worst moving company out of Norway ever!
If zero stars was an option, I would have chosen that!
The dates and locations are provided in the above information. The movers showed up about 9am or so each day and finished the day around 2:30 or 3pm. The estimated time to complete the packing was 4 days. After only working 6 hours a day, the packing began to backup with no way of it being completed within 4 days based on the current working hours. On the fourth day, the workers had to work until almost 11pm in the evening in order to complete the packing.
Red Flags
The workers had to leave and go back to headquarters many times in order to gather more packing supplies during the packing process.
The head mover/packer thought it was acceptable to dump my wifes shoes in a large box. These were dress shoes. Some are very expensive. My wife had to tell him that he could simply take the shoes and hang them in a wardrobe box. The professionals who packed us when we moved to Norway simply hung the shoes in their existing shoe rack inside a wardrobe box. This method worked very well.
All furniture and other heavy items were wrapped in soft wrapping materials. This method resulted in significant damage to any and all furniture. Dressers, bookshelves, chairs, tables, mirrors, etc.
Damage Examples:
We had a very expensive dining room table that was simply wrapped in paper and this item received significant damage. (See photos)
Another large and heavy item was a cushion container for storing our outdoor furniture cushions. This too was simply wrapped in paper material. This item should have been crated. It too received significant damage. (See photos)
We had significant damage during this move totalling over $20,000. The total time from packing to the container being delivered to our home in MN was about 3 months. The entire process of claiming the damage required significant effort on our part as well. We were required to photograph everything, fill out forms online and work with an adjuster (Jerry Otto, Weathersby Guild). The settlement company sent over Jerry Otto. Jerry was being compensated by the settlement company. Therefore, Jerry Otto was not to provide a fair settlement on our behalf. He claimed that items were already damaged prior to the move. How would he know this? Everytime I asked to confirm information, he would always refer me back to the settlement company claiming he was not allowed to share his actual adjustment/claims report with me.
In the end, we had to get the company that hired Alfa Moving on our behalf involved in order to get things moving forward and settled. The company that hired Alfa Moving was our employer here in the USA. This was a corporate move.
This process was a horrible experience and everyone involved was incompetent and/or untrustworthy and dishonest. Alfa Moving Norway is an incompetent company. The workers/packers are poorly trained and aren’t truly moving professionals. They are simply students or unskilled workers filling needed positions within this industry.
Jerry Otto is a dishonest and untrustworthy individual. He claims he is on your side and plays the part of someone who wants to help you get maximum compensation for your damaged property. However, after hearing some of his claims from the settlement company regarding items being previously damaged before the move, tells me his reports back to the settlement company are filled with dishonest information.

Save yourself, do not use
Simply do not use. They charge 5x the prize of others, you have to constantly follow up to get dates locked in, they work in silo’s so there is no client service, one side does not talk to the other. As a customer you are left project managing yourself, no transparency or clear communication. The removalist turned up without calling beforehand, despite repeated requests! Then 5 people turned up, impossible to manage. Just a nightmare on all fronts!

Incomplete move due to unfulfilled promises
We are extremely disappointed with Alfa Mobility’s service during our recent move from London to Stockholm. Despite having had smooth experiences with them in the past, this time was nothing short of a nightmare.
From the outset, we made it very clear that due to its size, our sofa needed to be moved via the terrace on the first floor and that the movers had to be appropriately equipped for this. This was not a new situation—Alfa Mobility had previously handled the same task without issue in 2021, bringing the sofa in to the flat. We even had a thorough video call with a representative in October, showing the sofa, terrace, and the height over the railing to ensure everyone understood what was required. My partner also emphasized multiple times that this was the only feasible way to move the sofa and confirmed these details over several conversations leading up to moving day.
On moving day, however, the movers arrived late, visibly stressed, and under time pressure. While the crew was nice and friendly, they informed us that they were not equipped to handle the sofa—completely contradicting all the reassurances we had received. One of the movers admitted that the information they had received about the task was inadequate and that they did not have the necessary equipment. This was baffling, as we had made every effort to communicate the requirements clearly, and Alfa Mobility had successfully moved the same sofa into the flat two years earlier with fewer crew members.
In a moment of panic, we managed to contact someone at Alfa Mobility headquarters. He acknowledged that this was a failure on their side and assured us that we would not be charged extra for resolving the situation. Relieved, we left for Stockholm, trusting that the company would follow through. However, to our shock, we received an email the next day stating that moving the sofa would cost an additional 15,000 SEK—on top of the 50,000 SEK we had already paid for the move. We are now left with an incomplete move, a sofa stranded in our London flat, and a shocking additional bill we had been explicitly told we would not incur.
This situation is deeply frustrating, stressful, and unacceptable. While the movers themselves were polite and friendly, the lack of internal communication, poor preparation, and added financial burden have left us appalled. We trusted Alfa Mobility based on previous positive experiences, but this time, their mismanagement, broken promises, and disregard for customer care have completely let us down.
We cannot recommend Alfa Mobility after this experience. Moving is stressful enough without such significant errors and unfulfilled promises from a company you’re paying a substantial amount to.

Fantastic moving service
Hired Alfa for my move from Zurich to Stockholm. Couldn’t have wished for a better experience. Both the loading and unloading of my goods went smoothly and were done in a timely manner, and the communication throughout the whole process was great and professional. I’ll definitely use Alfa in the future.

Useless and full of extra hidden costs…
Useless and full of extra costs and higher prices than quoted that you will have to pay out of pocket since nothing is communicated in advance. They will be helpful for nothing, couldn’t even handle a move within EU. Nothing good to say but if I said the bad I’d be writing for pages. Don’t do it! If your company hires them, fight for an alternative or take things in your own hands to save some money.

A moving company that steals from its clients
For a new job, we moved to a new city. My new employer had arranged for the move to be executed by two companies: Brytor International Moving, a Canadian mover and Alfa Moving, a Sweden-based ‘mobility expert’.
Long story short, they caused for over 10.000 $ in damages, including the theft of a some high value items. The insurance covered part of it, but we still were several thousands of dollars short. Alfa Moving offered a small compensation and with that, considered the case closed. We haven’t heard from Brytor.
Never before had it crossed my mind that movers would steal from their clients, but these two companies proved otherwise.

Major delays
Bad communication, did not respond to requests and emails. VERY late shipment, bad service
Anonym
Very unprofessional
I had to use this company because my employer in Sweden has an agreement with them. But from the very beginning to the end, every consultant dealing with my case, in both migration and relocation, were very unprofessional. The employee can just ignore either my emails or phone calls for weeks. I was misled several times by the incorrect information they provided. Also they are all arrogant and just refuse to admit that they provide the wrong information.

I had to use this pathetic company
I had to use this pathetic company, because of my employer in the US.
the whole process from start to finish was catastrophic. it took a long time to ship our stuff via air and sea, and lots of broken and damaged items (and irreplaceable). disgusting attitudes towards their customers and really bunch of incompetent people

Beware! Don’t trust Alfa Quality Moving
Don’t trust anything Alfa Quality Moving says in their quote! They half packed the boxes when picking everything up therefore it ocupied much more space which they used as an excuse to increase the price 50%!!! On top of this, the quote said it included “Any costs that may apply: for parking permits, shuttle or external lift at destination” yet we were invoiced an additional 40% after delivery due to “the shuttle that we used at destination – NO entrance for our big truck in the city center”!
In total we paid 190% of the additional quote
Derya Adibelli
Low service, high prices, bad communication
High prices, low service! We agreed with Alfa moving that they would come Wednesday 21 June to move our stuff international.
They had send the invoice way back so they had their money.
They never showed up the day which we agreed!
When I called the planner she was suprised that nobody had come. During that whole day they played around with us with excuses that the crew would come but in the end nobody came and they promissed to send a crew the next day.
Guess what the next day only the truck driver came to pack the stuff while a crew with 4 man was promised.
After 2 hours 2 young boys were send with none experience because they just started with working, hilarius!!! Really dissapointed in this company. High prices, bad communication, low service!

Messy, busy and low customer care
I had two cases with Alfa, the first one in 2020 went relatively smooth since they weren’t so busy within the pandemic. However, the had forgotten to proceed my case when the first responsible person was in the summer vacation but it didn’t affect so much my case just a few weeks delayed.
But the second case in 2022! The responsible guy submitted my case late, replied late, as soon as he noticed that I changed my employer and new employer wasn’t their customer he left me with wrong and vague advices and didn’t replied me anymore. I had to contact to Migrationsverket and received good advices and fixed my case myself, finally.
Sounds they are too busy and messy and don’t care about applicants since they have own contracts with the companies.
Not recommended at all.

Items missing and damaged. Staff lazy and inefficient
They put a bin full of water softening salt directly on top of 3 lampshades, destroying them!
There were a couple of broken bowls from a set
I left a few boxes with wine bottles – they never arrived. 2 glass shelves from an Ikea glass cabinet did not arrive either and the perimeter glass on the side of the frame was pushed in (obviously to take the shelves as the doors were locked and I kept the key).
I had lots of dishwasher tablets and laundry tablets and none of them arrived.
Stole them!
Also, I had to store all my personal items and furniture with them in Sweden for about 2 years and I was reeled in because their prices was relatively low and they seemed trustworthy and as soon as they had me, they massively increased the price by the next quarterly payment citing “Inflation” as their feeble excuse.
When it was time to move my stuff out of storage, they handed my case over to someone very inefficient and/or lazy. She would not respond to the question of how much it would cost with customs’ charges once the items reached their final destination. She chose to completely ignore the question and forget about it, meanwhile time was ticking and I needed an answer. This went on for months. She kept waiting for someone else to give her a reply and did nothing but sit there and wait! Not proactive or able to be more effective, useful or using any common sense whatsoever.
Overall not a good experience.

Disappointing ad stressful
We used Alfa Quality Moving to move from Stockholm to Connecticut last summer. Overall, we were incredibly disappointed with them and they made the move a lot more stressful than it should have been.
My communication with the company was positive before the move. Since they were very expensive with higher insurance premiums than other companies we spoke to, I was able to decrease it slightly after discussing this which was appreciated.
The problems started with the move itself when it turned out that the estimate of how much that was being moved was way off. They estimated 21cbm. On the first day of packing, at the end of the day, just before the packing guys left, I was told that their 30cbm container was full. We had added one foot chair to the pack load but there should have been a lot of space left. I was given no heads up during the day and all of a sudden we still had things left and we were now not able to choose which things that were important for us to bring. This was so disappointing for us. We were bringing our whole life to start over in the US. We went through various cost options to be able to bring everything we wanted, which all increased the price considerably. In the end, after a lot of stress, bad communication and wrong information from Alfa, they were able to squeeze in a few extra items that mattered to us. I wrote a complaint and Alfa lowered the invoice with 1600USD which was a nice gesture.
The items arrived several days late to the US and again, no communication. I can understand if the covid situation causes delays but the least thing they could have done was to inform us. The items went in for customs inspection which was unfortunate and we knew this could happen. However, we had no idea how much that would cost us. The surprise was when the bill for those few days in customs arrived three months after the arrival of our things and cost us an additional 3565.43USD. Alfa should have managed our expectations better.
The whole move cost us 13 600USD. For that price I would have expected a different service. The whole experience was disappointing and stressful and we would not use this company again in the future.

Loading, packing problems and how they handled the damage
They were very fast and helpful during the booking stage. However, they worked with a horrible unprofessional company in Värmland to pack our items and they messed up the entire move experience. I do not know why in Sweden they cannot send their own staff to pack and load despite they are a Swedish company. Second, the company which they had an agreement with and which carried out the packing and loading on behalf of Alfa Moving (we had a contract with Alfa, not the other company), only sent 2 unexperienced staff. They packed all our stuff in such a weird way. For example, a metal potato peeler was wrapped in 3 massive laters of paper where original crystal glasses were stacked and packed as whole with no protective layers. They were broken when we opened the boxes. My iMac was put in a large box with no cover or protective layer. It is not working. We tried claiming the expense, but insurance said it is not covered by what we chose to pay for insurance of electronic items. My suits were folded halfway and placed right next to a barbeque lid with grease and coal dust. Our bikes were not wrapped properly and one of the bikes had a problem with the brake bar. Most importantly, they packed a flammable spray used for bike chains (which we learned was not allowed in shipping containers) in a box together with blankets!! The only positive experience we had with Alfa was their counterpart in Turkey, Asya Nakliyat, which carried all our communications, unloading and unpacking in Turkey. Their staff were also shocked with how low quality the service provided by Alfa was. Our furniture was carried with not original international move boxes that belong to Alfa, but BAUHAUS boxes… We had moved internationally several times before and Alfa is the most expensive and worst of all our experiences and we are very sad that we haven’t even been contacted for a proper apology. We were only sent a blunt email saying ‘sorry for your items’ damage’ and ‘here is the claim form…’ Very superficial and unfriendly – felt like avoiding the dialogue rather than understanding what went wrong and solving it for the future. We would never recommend them. We are very sad that this was the quality of service they provided despite they charge very high prices.
