I had booked a flight with this company…

I had booked a flight with this company back in June 2022 only to realize with the confirmation email that the flight was in American funds. I phoned that same day to cancel and I was informed that I would be refunded but it may take 1 or 2 billing cycles to end up on my credit card. This did not happen and I gave them a call in Nov.22 to find out what happened. They told me that I would be receiving a cheque in the mail rather than reimbursing my credit card. Cheque never arrived. I spent the entire year of 2023 with many phone calls to them to get my refund. Sometimes they told me that the cheque was in the mail or it is now going to be sent. What a bunch of hogwash. It is clear that these scammers should be out of business. Do not give them a cent!

Charged twice for one ticket after flight was canceled and having to rebook

Re: Airborne Traveler
My initial ticket was canceled four days before my trip by the company claimed they didn’t have a flight. Airborne Traveler reissued a ticket for another flight. I was charged twice, once for the cancelled flight and a second time for the flight I took. I contacted the company via phone calls, email and customer service page on their website and they have yet to reimburse me.

This occurred April of 2022 and now it is April of 2023 and I’m still corresponding via email and phone calls trying to resolve this.

Horrible experience of having being charged twice just before leaving on a flight and no one interested in resolving this.

DO NOT use this company

This is the worst company I have every dealt with in my life. I cancelled my flight in Early 2022 and it is now early 2023 and I still have not received a refund “wait 5-10 more business days and it will be there”.

DO NOT use this company, its and absolute scam. I dont know how they have not been shut down.

The absolute worst!

The absolute worst!! Do NOT book anything through these people!! My flight was canceled (not by me) I was told I would receive a refund and never did. I made numerous amounts of phone calls and was left on hold and then they hung up. HORRIBLE experience.

A Ripoff

I booked an air ticket in August 2022. Two days before my flight, I received an email stating that ticket had been cancelled. The email stated that the ticket price would be refunded on the same card, and would take 6 – 8 weeks. I have learned a big lesson. I will never book thru a third party again. Definitely, buyer beware!!

Airborntraveler is FRAUD

Airborntraveler is FRAUD , I am out $1540 after receiving an email that my flight was cancelled 5 days before my flight. When I called their response was that the flight cost went up so they cancelled. Incredible. I filed a claim with my Visa CARD, all of you should do the same, do not let people like this, get away with fraud and scam, we all need to make sure they paid for their crimes that they committed. This was my hard earned money people.

Total Scam

Do not do business with this company. Scam. Take your money and no refund. Actually want more money to rebook. I had no other choice to walk away from a $250 dollar travel voucher to avoid any more money going in their pocket.

This Airborn traveler is a scam…

This Airborn traveler is a scam company. Do not buy airline tickets through then. We bought tickets & printed the paperwork only to discover when we arrived at the airport to check in our tickets were bogus & we had no seats in the plane. The Frontier agent informed me this happens all the time and she luckily still had seats on the plane. She was so sweet… She got us on the plane for almost four times the cost we paid airborn. I’m really unsure which is the worst scanner if the two. Perhaps they work together. My complaint has been filed with the United States Department of Transportation. We’ll see how Mr Buttegeig’s people can handle this. Our credit card has been harged however we have received no refund to date. DO NOT USE AIRBORN; THEY ARE A SCAM!!!

Buyer Beware!!!!

Similar to other reviews this was a painful lesson for me to learn in travel booking. You will NEVER get your money back. They are a scam 100 per cent. Please don’t use them. At a time of recession and rising inflation very few can afford this type of loss. I can’t stress enough – buyer beware.

Repeatedly been told they are sending a check for the $429.56 that we paid for flights to Las Vegas. Same story as I just read. We received an email stating our flight with Frontier Airlines was cancelled. We were unable to find a reasonable flight at that point and thus cancelled our hotel and plans for the trip. Now when I call, they have my number so I hold and after a few minutes they disconnect. Someone needs to do something to shut this company (scam) down.

I can not believe this company still…

I can not believe this company still has a website that allows people to book flights. Same as everyone else’s complaint my flight was cancelled and they kept my money. They send generic emails saying I will get my refund and when you call once you say your looking for a refund d you get hung up on. I reported the company to the BBB. They sent them a letter stating I would get a refund. This all began in May of 2022. I still call them once a week.

Below are the analyze and conclusion of us about above reviews

Review 1 (Chef Boy-r-G): This review is highly negative, reporting a complete failure to receive a ticket or a refund after booking in 2022. The customer expresses extreme frustration, stating they are still being hung up on when trying to inquire about their money. The use of strong language (“scamming people!!!!”) indicates a very negative and potentially genuine experience of being defrauded. The specific dollar amount ($585.88) adds a level of detail that supports the authenticity of the complaint. The time elapsed between booking and the review (2022 to April 2025) highlights a prolonged and unresolved issue.

Review 2 (Mark Majkowski): This review details a similar negative experience involving a cancelled flight and failure to receive a refund. The customer mentions booking in June 2022 and immediately cancelling upon noticing the currency was in American funds. The timeline of attempts to obtain a refund, spanning the entire year of 2023, suggests persistent but unsuccessful efforts to resolve the issue. The claim that the company repeatedly provided false assurances about sending a cheque further damages their credibility. The reviewer explicitly labels the company as “scammers” and advises others to avoid them.

Review 3 (Lorabelle Sundown): This review is short but emphatic, focusing on a prolonged wait of 15 months for a refund. The customer claims to have sent over 100 requests and describes the service as “lousy.” The statement that they are now being blocked (“Now they don’t and my e nail”) suggests a deliberate attempt by the company to avoid contact. The demand “I want my refund” underscores the customer’s unresolved frustration.

Review 4 (Tim Tim): This review differs from the others by focusing on an individual, Neha Gulaty, identified as an owner of “myflightsearch” (which may or may not be related to “Airborne Holidays/Travel”). The review accuses this person of being a “biggest scamster” and provides contact information (phone numbers and email addresses) for several individuals purportedly involved in the operation. While this review names individuals, it still alleges fraudulent behavior. It is more of an accusation against specific people. This review also suggests filing legal complaints in India and contacting cyber authorities.

Review 5 (Elizabeth Remeloso): This review describes a situation where the customer was charged twice for a single ticket after the original flight was cancelled and rebooked. The customer reports significant difficulty in obtaining a reimbursement, despite repeated attempts via phone calls, email, and the company’s website. The time frame mentioned (April 2022 to April 2023) indicates a year-long struggle to resolve the issue. The review highlights the “horrible experience” and lack of interest from the company in resolving the billing error.

Review 6 (Frustrated): This is a brief but direct warning: “DO NOT BOOK!” The reviewer claims they have not received a refund after 10 months and have been repeatedly hung up on. The unequivocal statement that “This business is not legit” reinforces the negative sentiment.

Review 7 (Therese Miller): This review explains the customer accidentally booked with Airborne instead of Porter Airlines and has been trying to get a refund since June 2022. They state that despite cancelling the flight and assurances the refund was on its way, no money has been refunded, labeling Airborne a “total SCAM.”

Review 8 (Trevor Sampson): Another straightforward negative review. The customer cancelled their flight in early 2022, and by early 2023 still had not received a refund despite repeatedly being told to “wait 5-10 more business days.” The reviewer calls the company an “absolute scam” and is surprised they haven’t been shut down.

Review 9 (Rosemarie Nardo): This reviewer calls the company “the absolute worst!!” and advises others not to book through them. Their flight was cancelled (not by them), they were promised a refund which never materialized, and they experienced being put on hold and then hung up on repeatedly when attempting to follow up.

Review 10 (Judy Wankel): This review echoes the same pattern of complaints. A flight booked in August 2022 was cancelled two days before departure, with a promise of a refund within 6-8 weeks. The reviewer states they will never book through a third party again and warns “buyer beware!!”

Review 11 (James Forsyth): This review states that Airborne Traveler cancelled their flight two days before departure and promised a refund, but after 5 months the refund has not been received. They “highly recommend to not book any travel with them.”

Review 12 (YOUGOTTHIS MOMSINSPIRATION): This review uses strong language to call Airborntraveler a “FRAUD,” stating they are out $1540 after receiving an email that their flight was cancelled 5 days before departure. The reason given was that the flight cost went up. The reviewer suggests filing a claim with Visa.

Review 13 (Mark peddle): This review simply calls the company a “Total Scam” and advises against doing business with them. They claim the company takes your money and provides no refund, even asking for more money to rebook. The reviewer chose to forfeit a $250 travel voucher to avoid further financial loss.

Review 14 (moon goddess): This review is very brief and simply states “ABSOLUTELY A SCAM COMPANY. DO NOT USE THEM.”

Review 15 (Ronalie DOcena): This review shares the same experience of a cancelled flight 5 days before departure. They had booked tickets for 6 people for a flight in October and were told to wait 6-8 weeks for a refund, but by December had not received it. The reviewer calls them “Totally scammer.”

Review 16 (Anatoly Gavrilin): This review is short and aggressive, calling the company a “Scam” and using profanity.

Review 17 (Virginia Howard): This review details a particularly concerning experience where the customer arrived at the airport with printed paperwork only to find out their tickets were bogus and they had no seats on the plane. They were able to get on the plane for a much higher cost through the airline directly. The reviewer calls Airborne Traveler a “scam company” and has filed a complaint with the Department of Transportation.

Review 18 (Liz): This review warns “Buyer Beware!!!!” and states that this was a painful lesson in travel booking. They claim “You will NEVER get your money back” and that the company is “a scam 100 per cent.”

Review 19 (Pat Wedner): This review states they have been repeatedly told they are sending a check for flights to Las Vegas that were cancelled. They received an email stating their Frontier Airlines flight was cancelled. They were unable to find a reasonable flight and cancelled their trip. Now when they call, the company disconnects the call. The reviewer calls the company a “scam” and wants them shut down.

Review 20 (Christine Post): The reviewer states that they can not believe the company is still operating. They share the same experience of a cancelled flight and no refund. They state they receive generic emails promising a refund and are hung up on when they call. They reported the company to the BBB and were told they would get a refund, but this began in May of 2022 and they still call weekly.
