Missleading Website
Missleading Website. The website evisas_travel_kenya comes up first when searching to apply for a Kenyan visa but the official government website is actually
takenya_go_ke/. Evisas Kenya charged me 3 times more and was difficult to deal with. I had to fight them for days to get a refund. Their website should be removed by the authorities for being misleading. The official website is cheaper, faster and easier to use.
Note: I had to edit the web links because Trust Pilot doesn’t allow web links.

Attention: not the official Web site
Attention: this is not the official Web site for Kenya visa applications. We applied there not knowing this. We only noticed something strange when we did not receive an email confirmation. We tried calling repeatedly but each time after a while waiting, the phone got disconnected. We cannot tell if this is a fraudulent Web site or not. But given the visa is also more expensive than on the official government Web site, I see little reason to run the risk.
Below are the analyze and conclusion of us about above reviews
Review 1: Dusk Rider
This review alleges that evisas_travel_kenya is a misleading website that appears before the official Kenyan government visa website (takenya_go_ke) in search results. The reviewer claims they were charged three times more than the official site and experienced difficulty obtaining a refund, requiring days of fighting. The reviewer explicitly recommends the website be removed and highlights the official website’s lower cost, speed, and ease of use. The reviewer also mentioned editing the links due to Trustpilot’s restrictions, which adds credibility to their statement. The core of the complaint revolves around inflated prices and poor customer service compared to the official channel. This strongly indicates a potential issue with the website’s legitimacy and ethical practices.
Review 2: Daniel Goersch
This review echoes the concern that the website is not the official Kenyan visa application portal. The reviewer states they applied without realizing this and only suspected something was wrong when they didn’t receive email confirmation. They report difficulty contacting the site, with calls being disconnected after a wait. While not explicitly labeling the website as fraudulent, the reviewer notes the higher cost compared to the official government website and advises against taking the risk. The lack of confirmation and the unreliable customer service further support the possibility of the website being a scam or at least a very unreliable service. The reviewer’s caution is based on their own negative experience and a comparison with the official service.
evisa-kenya.com likely scam
