Oman e-visa – amazing experience

Amazing experience today. Made a mistake and thought I didn’t need a visa for Oman. Flying tomorrow!! I applied on the e-visa rop.gov.om website 12.00 today (Friday) and got my visa just after 5.00pm today. Someone is doing a really great job at Royal Omani Police

Just avoid this website

Just avoid this website! Use the official one.
I used oman-visa.online service (which is a sub-site of VisaMundi) expecting to get a quick Visa since I was about to visit Oman 11 days later. A difficult conversation later, I had to talk to Oman officials to find out oman-visa has submited a wrong application!!! Wrong passport number. Seriously??
Just go and use the official website: cheaper, quicker, safer.

Below are the analyze and conclusion of us about above reviews

Review 1: MD SIDDIK ULLAH

This review is extremely short and lacks detail. The user, MD SIDDIK ULLAH, gives a rating of 2 out of 5 stars and simply states “Italy visa i need work”. There’s no explanation of why they gave this rating or what their experience was. This lack of information makes it difficult to assess the review’s authenticity or understand the user’s actual experience. It’s vague and doesn’t provide any insights into the visa application process or the website’s service. It could be a genuine frustrated user or a very low-effort fake review. The lack of specifics raises concerns about its value in determining the website’s legitimacy.

Review 2: Hema DSouza

Hema DSouza gives a very negative review (1 star), expressing a wish to give zero stars. They describe a frustrating experience at the entry gate, citing a sudden change in rules regarding e-license validity. They claim that an “hour ago rule changed” requiring a hard copy of the vehicle license despite showing a valid e-license. They attribute this to a “pathetic system from Oman” and vow never to travel there again. This review, while negative, is quite specific in detailing the incident. It focuses on the perceived inflexibility of the Omani system. It appears to be a genuine expression of frustration with border control procedures, rather than a direct accusation of scam by the website. However, the review might be about Omani policy not the website service

Review 3: happyuser

This is a highly positive review (5 stars) from a user named “happyuser.” They recount a positive experience obtaining an Oman e-visa. They admit to initially thinking they didn’t need a visa but were able to apply online on the official “rop.gov.om” website and receive their visa within a few hours, even on a Friday. They commend the Royal Omani Police for doing a “really great job.” The review is detailed, including the specific website used and the timeframe for visa approval. The fact that they mention using the official government website adds credibility. It suggests a genuine positive experience with the official Omani visa process.

Review 4: Mary

Mary provides a 5-star review, describing the process as “Quick and very easy!” They state that they requested an e-visa for themselves and their family through “oman-visa.online” and received the visas via email within a few days. They also thank “Julia” for personalized service. This review raises some red flags. The reviewer praises a specific non-government website (“oman-visa.online”) and mentions “personalized service,” which is unusual for a standard visa application. This could indicate a paid or incentivized review designed to promote a specific service that may be a third party and not legitimate.

Review 5: FloLec

This is a very negative (1-star) review. FloLec strongly advises against using “oman-visa.online” and recommends using the official website instead. They claim to have used oman-visa.online (a sub-site of VisaMundi) expecting a quick visa, but the website submitted a wrong application (wrong passport number). They state they had to contact Oman officials to resolve the issue. They explicitly accuse the website of making a serious error (wrong passport number). This level of detail lends credibility to the negative review. The user’s recommendation to use the official website highlights a potential risk associated with using the reviewed website.

oman-visa.online likely a scam/third-party facilitator
