Seriously wtf is this supposed to be? CN want to be a “world power” but cannot run a simple visa application website or have the human decency to support applicants? What a complete JOKE this is…

Possible erroneous information and unwillingness to help

It states on the visa for China website that if you arrive in China by Air, sea or train, and you are leaving within 24 hours, you don’t need a visa. Accordingly I bought a flight on China Southern from Guangzhou to Indonesia and rail ticket from Hong Kong for the same day, November 9th.

I was turned away by China immigration as I had no visa, and they were not interested to look at my onward checked in flight.

I emailed visa for China. They refused to help. Despite publishing this advice on their Web, they told be to talk to Chinese immigration.

So a warning to travellers, don’t trust the advice provided by visa for China and don’t trust the supposed transit regulations. It ends up being costly.

Do Not Use

Applied for a Visa in the Hague via post. Took 2 weeks of back and forward to determine that their new policy does not allow me to apply for a visa. I was then assured postage would be honoured due to the hassle, however, I then received an invoice. On questioning this invoice, the company denied having told me this and implied I was lying. On an additional note, the company phones are not always working and it can take over 24hours to receive a reply to an email.

I would recommend using more established UK based services.

Below are the analyze and conclusion of us about above reviews

Review 1 (anon): This review expresses extreme frustration with the website’s performance and lack of support. The user complains about slow website speed, inability to download forms, and unhelpful customer service that only directs them to a “useless FAQ.” The reviewer also makes a nationalistic critique implying that China should be able to manage a simple visa application website. The language is strong (“Complete TRASH,” “wtf,” “complete JOKE”), suggesting a highly negative experience. The specificity about form downloads and FAQ responses adds some credibility, even if the overall tone is overly emotional and not detailed.

Review 2 (Arbee): This review details a traveler’s negative experience with relying on information from “visa for China” regarding visa-free transit. The reviewer claims to have followed the website’s advice about a 24-hour transit rule but was denied entry and faced unhelpful customer service afterward. The review provides specific details about flights and train tickets, making the situation more believable. The core complaint is about inaccurate information and the company’s refusal to take responsibility for the consequences. The reviewer advises against trusting the site’s advice. The specificity of dates, locations, and the airline used lends credibility to the review.

Review 3 (Harvey): This review describes an issue with a visa application submitted by post, ultimately deemed ineligible due to a policy change. The core issue appears to be a lack of clear communication about the new policy. The review mentions a promise of refunded postage due to the inconvenience, which was then reneged upon, leading to a dispute over an invoice. The reviewer accuses the company of denying the initial promise and implying dishonesty. Additional complaints include unreliable phone lines and slow email response times. The reviewer recommends using UK-based services instead. The combination of policy change, communication failures, and billing disputes paints a picture of poor customer service and a lack of transparency.

www.visaforchina.org likely legit but unreliable
