Evisa.go.ke

I have used this twice now, and family and friends have too – every time we have had our evisas back within 48 hours with no issues.
The questions and the file formats just take a bit of time and thought, all jpeg now, so no problem, I took screenshots of adobe documents (flight tickets etc) on my phone, emailed them to myself and resized them on my PC, making sure they could be easily read and uploading them from there. I am not staying at a hotel this time, as I am attending a wedding and staying with friends for a short trip, so I was a bit anxious about that – but the people processing it are very pragmatic and accepted messages between me and my host making arrangements for my visit along with their details as acceptable evidence in the hotel booking section, which was very much appreciated as I did not have any official booking or reservation documents. No issues with my account, I can sign in and see previous visas issued and it was easy to go back in and edit with progress saved. So on the whole I have found them to be very efficient and accommodating for me and my family. Asante sana!

Worse evisa service

They charge you the evisa price and they disappear with your money, with no answer to phone calls, whatsapp, emails

Twice Scammed

Twice, I have been scammed. Despite being a government body, this website managed by the Kenya Department of Immigration, has taken money from me without issuing an evisa. Once I applied for myself, no evisa. they made another application system for online evisa application. I thought it would be different this time, I applied an evisa for my elderly mother, again over 4 months now, nothing. Scam! Total scam!

Below are the analyze and conclusion of us about above reviews

Review 1 (Gadd): This review is overwhelmingly positive. The user, Gadd, claims to have used the service twice, along with family and friends, and reports successful evisa applications within 48 hours. They describe the application process as requiring some effort regarding file formats, but not insurmountable. The user appreciates the pragmatic approach of the processors, particularly in accepting alternative evidence for accommodation. The user mentions a positive experience with account management and editing capabilities. The detailed description of the process and the specific example of providing alternative accommodation evidence enhance the review’s credibility. The closing “Asante sana!” (Thank you very much in Swahili) further strengthens its genuineness.

Review 2 (Y A): This review presents a stark contrast to the first. The user, Y A, alleges being scammed, claiming that payment was taken with no evisa issued and no response to communication attempts (phone calls, WhatsApp, and emails). This review is brief and direct in its accusation. While the lack of detail might raise a slight question, the strong negative sentiment and the specific claims of non-communication are consistent with scam reports.

Review 3 (Dadir Mohamed Ahmed): This review reinforces the negative claims seen in the second review. Dadir Mohamed Ahmed claims to have been scammed twice by the website, despite believing it to be a government body. They describe a personal experience of applying for themselves without receiving an evisa and a second failed application for their elderly mother, which has been pending for over four months. The user’s frustration and strong accusation of “Scam! Total scam!” point towards a negative experience with the service. The double negative experience strengthens the claim of potential illegitimacy.

evisa.go.ke likely a scam
